Symmetry and Softness in Harmony
We also wanted something that was both symmetrical and soft. The home’s architecture features soft arches and curved lines with an ideal floor plan. The thick Oklahoma flagstone, a type of stone referred to as “ Ozark,” was used for the stone facade and contributes rustic elegance.
We went with a dry stack style on verticals but these white walls never go out of style. The side of the custom chimney and outdoor pizza oven, features a buff-colored mortar joint in color to rusticate and provide contrast to the space.
Intricate Stone Selections

We chose a thick Pennsylvania Bluestone, for the counter top because of its natural strength and timeless presentation. What truly sets this project apart are the delicate-looking “ thin flag feather ” insets and backsplash; these are made with a Tennessee thin flagstone veneer called “Crab Orchard (gray ).
This veneer is labor-intensive to cut and to install in a dry stack fashion. The result is visually apparent and a statement of our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
The Perfect Outdoor Kitchen
First and foremost this outdoor living showcase features a grand chimney 12’, and 9’ outdoor pizza oven. These are not just aesthetically pleasing structures, but highly functional ones.
Between the chimney and the pizza oven will be space for Green Egg, sink, refrigerator, grill, and cabinets. Every detail has been considered to ensure your outdoor kitchen experience is second to none.
A low voltage night light is built into the back splash and marble trim with low lighting and a very elegant touch. For the pizza oven, we recommend a clean-burning wood, and for this project, European White Birch is at the ready.
A Glimpse into the Season
